Tell us what is preventing movement
A vehicle that cannot roll needs a different loading assessment from a vehicle that simply will not start. Tell us which wheels are locked, damaged or out of position, whether the steering turns, and whether the vehicle is stuck in park.
Describe what you can observe. Do not try to release brakes, remove components or move the vehicle in an unsafe way just to make collection easier.
Show the vehicle and the available space
From a safe position, take photographs showing the whole vehicle, the affected wheels and the surrounding space. Tell us about low ceilings, tight corners, ramps, soft ground and nearby obstructions.
If keys are unavailable or the vehicle cannot be put into an appropriate loading mode, mention this at the start. Vehicle details and manufacturer requirements can affect the equipment and method used.
Agree the recovery before attendance
Ozzy’s Breakdown Recovery checks the vehicle’s condition and access before accepting the recovery. Skates, additional loading equipment or extra time may be needed. Suitability and any additional charge are confirmed for the particular job rather than assumed from the vehicle type alone.
Prepare the destination
Tell the receiving garage or destination contact that the vehicle cannot roll normally. Make sure access and a suitable unloading position are available. We agree the recovery destination with you before moving the vehicle.
