The recovery service
Ozzy’s Breakdown Recovery is the trading name of OZZY'S BREAKDOWN RECOVERY LTD, company number 16951604, registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 37 Radstock Road, Reading, England, RG1 3PS. We provide vehicle recovery and towing for cars, suitable vans, motorcycles and electric vehicles, including motorway, accident, non-running and difficult-position recoveries. Selected 12V / 24V jump-start assistance is available.
Our services are limited to vehicle recovery, towing and selected 12V / 24V jump starts. Tyre fitting, fuel delivery, lockout assistance and heavy-goods-vehicle recovery are not available. The vehicle’s size, actual weight, condition and access must be suitable for the equipment available.
Quotes and booking confirmation
A telephone call, WhatsApp message or website quote request starts an enquiry. Submitting a form does not itself confirm a booking, charge a payment or authorise us to start recovery.
A booking is confirmed only when we accept the job and agree the recovery details with you. We confirm the collection point, destination, service, agreed price and any call-out or payment requirement. Keep the quotation and confirmation so you can refer to them later.
Information we need from you
Please provide accurate vehicle details, collection and destination information, whether the vehicle rolls and steers, any load, visible damage and access restrictions. Tell us about changed conditions before attendance. Photographs may be requested where a vehicle is damaged, non-rolling or away from firm ground.
You must be entitled to authorise the vehicle’s recovery. Keys and any access arrangements should be ready where available. Remove personal valuables where it is safe and practical to do so.
Price and additional work
The price depends on the vehicle, route, collection point, destination and work required. Extra time, loading difficulties, waiting, winching or additional equipment may affect the price. Any charge must be explained and agreed before additional work is carried out, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety and prior agreement is not practicable.
Our arrival estimate is not a guaranteed attendance time. Traffic, access, weather, other recoveries and instructions from the road operator or emergency services may affect attendance. Contact us for the current position if your circumstances change.
Payment
The accepted payment methods and the amount due are confirmed for your job. Do not send card numbers or banking security credentials through the website quote form. Any payment-provider terms apply separately to the method you choose.
Sending an enquiry or sharing your location does not by itself authorise a payment. An agreed call-out charge and any further recovery balance will be identified in the job confirmation.
Safe access and vehicle handling
Recovery is subject to safe access, an appropriate extraction or loading route and the vehicle’s condition. We may decline or stop work that cannot be carried out safely or requires different equipment. We will explain the position and any work already carried out.
We carry out our service with reasonable care and skill. Existing damage and the vehicle’s condition may be recorded before loading. Please raise any concern promptly and keep relevant photographs and your booking details.
Cancellation and your rights
Read our cancellation and refund policy before confirming a booking. Charges for cancellations must be fair and proportionate and cannot override rights that apply by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or your statutory rights as a consumer. Applicable consumer rights include remedies where a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Questions or complaints
Email contact@ozzysbreakdownrecovery.co.uk or call 07778 348703 with your booking reference, date, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. We confirm we have received it within 2 working days and send you a full reply within 14 days. Keep copies of your correspondence.
For business-to-business work, any separately agreed written commercial terms apply to that booking, subject to applicable law.
If something gets damaged
Before loading, the driver records the condition of your vehicle with photos. If you find damage you believe happened while your vehicle was with us, tell us as soon as you can, ideally before the driver leaves, and send photos. We check it against the photos taken before loading, and where we are responsible we put it right or pay for the repair. This does not limit your legal rights.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
