Start with the collection point
Send the postcode, road name or a map link for the vehicle. For a motorway or major road, include the direction of travel and the nearest junction or service area you know. Only obtain information or photographs from a safe position.
The point where the vehicle is waiting matters more than a nearby home address. Tell us if it is inside a car park, behind a barrier, on a narrow lane or somewhere the recovery vehicle may have difficulty reaching.
Describe the vehicle and its condition
Include the registration, make and model. For a van, let us know whether it is carrying a load. Mention if the vehicle does not start, cannot roll or steer, has a locked transmission, is low to the ground, or has visible wheel, suspension or accident damage.
You do not need to identify the cause of a breakdown. Tell us what happened and whether the vehicle starts, rolls and steers so we can plan its recovery.
Tell us where it needs to go
A destination postcode or garage name helps establish the route. If the destination is not yet known, say so. We can discuss recovery options, but a price may need to be confirmed once the destination and access arrangements are agreed.
Add photographs when they help
For a damaged, non-rolling or awkwardly positioned vehicle, photographs can help show what equipment or access may be needed. Include a wider view of the surroundings rather than only a close-up. Do not put yourself at risk to take pictures.
Send the enquiry
Select Get a recovery quote, enter the details and continue to WhatsApp. You review and send the message there. Your enquiry is not a confirmed booking until Ozzy’s Breakdown Recovery accepts the job and agrees the details with you.
